I think Jimmy might be done in the league. Nobody wants a guy who has no respect for upper management or the contracts he's signed.
What's the point in negotiating with him if he'll walk off the court when things don't suit him?
He went from plenty money to better make a budget.
Nah. Other teams want him. They just haven't finished the negotiations. Miami hasn't signed any help for him since he's arrived. He's at the tail end of his career and wants a chance at title. That's what he's doing.
more like he wants a max extension which Miami doesn't want to give him. I would not be surprised if he isn't traded, at least before this trade deadline. The likelihood of Miami getting a player or expiring contracts they want seems pretty unlikely to me. Particularly if phoenix is the only interested team because that also hinges on beal waiving his NTC and some other team who wants to take him.
I bet he gets traded on his expiring but there'll be 4 or more teams on that trade. Salaries like Butler's don't typically move at the TDL and it's even harder to move them now with the new cap environment (1st and 2nd apron)
