It doesn't have to be a clever line, you just have to have the confidence to use it and that's enough most times to get you in some casual conversation.
Ehh, it needs to be not stupid and canned, but you're right about the confidence.
"I think we should just fuck tonight" is pretty stupid but it worked for me once lol
But if it's stupid enough to make them laugh, then it becomes good again
