Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Bet it has safety problems that Canada doesn't test for
If anything it would be the other way around. Remember the "kia boys" that could steal cars with a USB A cable? That only happened in the USA and not Canada. Why? Because Canada mandates electronic security on the ignition switch. The USA doesn't. So Canadian Kia cars were never stolen in droves like those in American.
But kia has shown they will cut corners
I think you'll find that in most value segment vehicles. Its what makes them value segment.
All big companies do. The only thing mitigating that is regulations and the US is generally laxer than other places (like Europe and Canada) on safety standards.
We test for less than (2024)America ? This is gonna hurt our EUZone application.
I'm believing hard that it's because 'Murica will tariff and tax it into non-viability. Because #oil
Huh. I was close but I expected toxic tariffs in 2025's Dark Ages America.
It's the same company that didn't bother with immobilizers, so a lot of their cars are very easily stolen.
...in the USA. They did in Canada because the law required it.
Bahaha what an American thing to say.
America has some of the lowest safety standards in the developed world across all industries. Don’t worry though, you’ll get some nice big ICE cars that aren’t held back by those pesky emissions standards. Your glorious leader signed an executive order the other day getting rid of it!
Edit: you could also take a plane instead of a car, provided it stays in the air 🫣
