How is Piefed different from Lemmy? (sh.itjust.works)

Hi, I checked out piefed, signed up and used it, and like it. But it seems like all or many of the posts there are from Lemmy, or was my imagination, or how to know?

Anyway, what is supposed to be better about Piefed? Again I am open to it, just curious. I will say it loaded fast, that was nice. Thanks!

It is a different server software for the same federated and shared network or ecosystem if you so will. So it's a different perspective, but on the same underlying users and posts.

You might want to read about the "Fediverse". We're a big(?) network of interconnected instances. The Fediverse spans across different servers and even software. And they all offer different features and focus on different things. But everything is supposed to be interconnected.

Yep cool thank you. I’ve been using Lemmy for a couple of years now (just I switch usernames sometimes) so am just curious about features and advantages either platform may have. Thanks!
