House Democratic lawmakers reportedly used a closed-door meeting earlier this week to vent their frustrations with progressive advocacy groups that have been driving constituent calls and pressuring the party to act like a genuine opposition force in the face of the Trump administration's authoritarian assault on federal agencies and key programs.

Being a representative would be great if it weren't for all these damn constituents and their desire to survive.

Unfortunately, yeah, they sure seem to expect that. And it ain't working out for them.

We need to encourage any political representative that wants an easy job to step aside. When it comes to your constituents, lead, follow, or get out of the way. Sitting on ass and accepting a paycheck is amoral.
