I believe it was Mr. Drummond who broke into Irv's place and he found his notes & lists of severed people.

i think some people are theorizing that Mr Drummond & Burt are in cahoots, especially when fields mentions Burt has been with lumon for 20 years or whatever.
and yep, this season has been fantastic so far.
I leapt to that same conclusion the moment I saw Drummond go to Irving’s place. I’m sure they are watching Irving closely, but the timing of him being there the moment Irving goes to Burt’s is sus
Burt being with Lumon for 20 years might also be why he knows he's going to hell. He might have done some absolutely vile things before the Severance procedure became public knowledge.
