this doesn't make any sense. it's maybe not red versus blue, but red is a huge problem.

Yep when one side is actively and rabidly empowering the elites in massive numbers with religious fervor it's a battle of rationality versus religious cultists. Only have to see how cultists continue to defend their God King even when they are surprised they have been negatively impacted driven by hatred of the others more than their own suffering.

It would be nice if it was a simple rich vs poor, but it is far from that with huge ideological differences that actually go beyond simple financial classes.
