This is an interesting way to respond. Nothing business or financial related was in my prompt and this is the first turn in the conversation.

Maybe they set some system prompt which focuses on business-related things? Just seems weird so see such an unrelated response on the first turn

Before jumping to any conclusions, you kind of have to try it several times, though. Just once could be a fluke, as there is randomness involved in AI. And the topic of the conversation is completely unclear, so the AI makes something up.

that is a very fair argument, i really didn't test it multiple times. i just find it interesting that the thing it jumps to is finance. it feels weirdly specific...

Just how AI works. It generated the text "How can I assist you with your..." and then randomly decides the next word is "financial".

Yeah, definitely weird. I like VeganCheesecake's comment. I've seen some Youtube videos about internet scams and seems one of them is luring people in by being nice to them and faking some personal interest and then sell some investment opportunities or crypto...
