A majority didn't vote for Trump. That would have required at least a 51% victory. He had 40 something.

Dont forget registered voters are not all of the population, and that there's evidence for widespread voter supression.

The moral isn't that Trump is the savior in the eyes of most but that the DNC (And as a result Harris) failed to engage the core of the Democratic base and non voters to vote, or convert Republican voters.
