Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.
Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.
Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.
Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.
Rule 6- Regarding META posts.
Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.
Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.
If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.
Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.
Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.
Let everyone have their own content.
:::spoiler Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

I haven't used Reddit for years but I get a lot more timeouts and comment removals here than I ever did over there.
The modlog would beg to differ. Come on, don't be dishonest, we can all see why you got comment removals and timeouts.

You just said "Nuh uh" and then completely agreed with everything I said.
“I keep getting muted and timed out for no reason here!”
“Actually, we can see why you’re being muted and it’s for a valid reason”
“Yeah well you just agreed with me!”
I know the truth stings, child.
To be fair, they really ramped it up on Reddit, however I think Lemmy just depends on the community and instance. I mean, hell, 196 split up kind of over this stuff (or at least, that was the initial trigger imo).
If you find yourself censored on World, there's quite a few other options (although usually farther left or tankie). Folks just need to host their own versions of things, although we rarely see more conservative folks bothering. Given how federation works, it's actually a wonder there isn't a Truth Social style community out there for most of us to block. >.>
Remit removes all the time, but they shadow remove so you never get a notification or anything.
That’s ultimately what pissed me off into deleting my account. If I even say the name Luigi my post is automatically shadow removed? I don’t want to spend any time on a platform like that.
Good?
Oh, absolutely dude... People on here are absolutely the thinnest skinned I think I've ever seen on the internet, bar none. And they all seem to want to start shit over something and then act astonished and run to mods for help if they get any sort of response in kind.
Hey, here's a thought: If you wanna talk shit to people, you probably shouldn't be shocked if you get it right back... And if you have to then go get a mod because you're now butthurt over a fight you picked? What, was your mom busy or something? 🤣😂 Cuz that's the exact energy I get from that
That is partially because some of the refugees from Reddit, happen to be assholes. So they go and make instances thinking that they'll be better than their Reddit counterparts, only to demonstrate that they are just as bad and probably showcasing the reasons why.
I don't get what kind of communities and posts y'all are hanging out in where people talk shit and start shit 🥴
I've mostly only had proper interactions with folks here. Some miniscule percentage of rude assholes who are looking for a reaction, but other than that, much smoother than Reddit ever was.
