My Google Streamer has been working without any issues., FWIW.

I may have to switch to something else if they've intentionally bricked the chromecast. It definitely won't be a Google product though if this turns out to be intentional. If anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears.

I've got a 2nd gen that I'm hoping they'll patch. It sounds like it's an expired security certificate across the board. These usually aren't a hard fix to push out and Google had stated to support existing Chromecasts for the near future.
