I love the Ahwahnee but damn it's expensive. We got our room at half price which helped a lot at the time!

welp...
We were standing outside of the Ahwahnee, my GF didn't want to spend so much money. I said that I will pay 100%, she still said no :( Must have been late 90ies or so.

It's not just the money, it's also the style and surrounding, clothing, behavious... It just wasn't hers... well...

@[email protected] I can understand that... I was just happy I could treat the family to the experience. It was a surprise for them, as we'd taken the mostly-unknown 4x4 off-road route into the valley and they were expecting the usual tent camping! 😁
