right now the people i dread replying to me are anyone on lemmygrad/hex (never ends well, got accused of denying a genocide I never even mentioned.)

You’re probably aware, but you can have your QOL improve my migrating to an instance that defeds Hex and Grad. Sopuli.xyz for example.
