This was meant to be the final season. The ending is beautiful and mysterious, as it should be. Another season is a mistake.
I agree. However, now knowing there will be at least a third season, I have to ask. Where in the heck do those crazy love-birds think they are running to?
They don't think anything. Mentally they are teenagers, worse, they are teenagers in love, they're no thoughts brain empty. They don't have a plan beyond "I want to be with you".
I don't think they know. You can see how, after Helly initially shows joy, both have kind of a dreadful expression knowing they are running into hell.
Exactly. This final scene was never meant to be continued.
The ending and its dated late 60s Hollywood style makes me think it’s a tribute to the ending of The Graduate.
It doesn’t matter to them that they don’t know where they’re going or what they’ll do, just as long as they’re together.
