Foraging for carmilk is a popular pastime amongst some US residents. While local and state regulations are in place to prevent over-harvesting, those with permits often work in pairs to search for lactating vehicles and gently harvest the carmilk from them.

Carmilk is a nutrient-dense and very rich food product which can be used to make car cheese, or used in a range of both sweet and savoury dishes. It's a popular lactose-free alternative to boatmilk.
