Also easily bought at Costco

This poor guy doesn't understand the immense joy that is receiving a random (wanted) gift from someone.

What tastes better, the piece of candy from the bag you bought, or one randomly handed to you by a co-worker? ๐Ÿ˜œ

All depends. Coworker hands me a Peep, I'll be nice and say thank you. But I'm not eating that nasty hell spawn shit.

I get your point though. Ain't nothing taste better than free.

It's like you didn't even read my comment! /s

Also, for the sake of clarifying my original point: it isn't necessarily that the cookies were free, or that there were so many of them. OOP probably would've been just about as happy if the flight attendant overheard her and made a point to give her just a single pack- it's the being acknowledged and having someone make a deliberate effort for you that gives the warm and fuzzies here.

As someone who loved those fucking cookies. I saw them and bought a massive box. Had so many i had to pull recipes with them. They are great but never again. I'll wait till the flight. They just taste better on the plane

Keep the peep. They're one of the few food items that gets better as it gets stale. Rather than being a nasty half-gooey blandness, stale peeps start to crisp up, like potato chips. They're delicious.

I was about to post this. I love opening a pack and letting it sit a day or 2

Yep. And all of my grocery stores locally have it - either in the bakery or just on the cookie aisle proper, as well as the newish (5 years?) vanilla or chocolate sandwich cookies.
