Rn I'm using Metro, app has a bit of bugs, music stops randomly even after setting battery optimization to unrestricted and hasn't been updated since April 2023. What do y'all suggest?

I switched back to VLC a while ago after trying others. Not fancy, but it tends to just work.

vlc works pretty well, but for some reason it cuts off the first 1-2s of any first song i play

Sure it's not just the bluetooth phones, or your amp / speakers waking up from power save?

I might have a very odd bug, but VLC only plays one song normally and then any song after that is complete silence. No updates or reinstalls could fix it.
YMMV perhaps?

Hm. I use it for anything, looping stuff, streams, entire album play, playlists, even audio books before I found maBooks

My only current bug is that I used to have my music on an SD card, which failed & I removed, but VLC still thinks it's right there and fills my library with it
