I finished Apothecary Diaries awhile ago, enjoyed it more than expected, then as I was looking for something else to watch I started Overlord.

These are two very different shows, and I'm not sure I'll stick with Overlord. It's not bad or anything, but not what I'm interested in right now.

I'm sure the rest of you may have run into this before, so I'm interested in some of your experiences. What are some shows you've watched where it felt like pretty major stylistic/tonal whiplash?

This happened to me just this past week. My wife and I finished season 7 of Natsume's Book of Friends and the final two episodes are so dramatically different from each other. They are both excellent, probably some of my favorite episodes from the whole series. One is a heartbreaking tragedy and the other is very touching and optimistic. It's an anthology show, so it's not crazy for this to happen, but it's just the first thing that popped into my head seeing this question.

Honestly that's one of my favorite parts of anthology/episodic shows. You get a loose theme of what to expect but each episode can pleasantly surprise you.
