Might actually function better on mars. There's no moisture, so it won't get wet.

Soft sand too I think. But since it only has 38% of earth’s gravity, the 3 ton Deplorean would probably work ok there.

I wouldn’t even trust it to hide behind as shelter from the weak Martian wind, let alone for transportation in a life threatening environment though.
