For me personally absolutely nothing changes unless you also adjust the sociopolitical context of each nation such as Jewish ethnostate still backed by USA and having strong economic ties to Russia (Abramovich), favoring fascist conservative election results.
In that second case maybe just deserts.
If the second situation but the muslims in question are backed by China instead, then right back to horrible attrocity status.
