Linked to this community in another comment today, gonna do it once more: https://lemm.ee/c/[email protected] you're all welcome to subscribe. No political stuff there (โแขโ)
Thanks, subscribed. Shame the name reminds of Futurama's Professor Farnsworth's "good news, everyone!" which was inevitably bad news.
But also a funny reference.

Now that I have a valid replacement time to say good bye to "uplifting" news. Hard agree on the political stuff being annoying. While it's important to acknowledge both negativity and politics, that's not what I come to lemmy for, esprcially on the "uplifting news" board.
i did a post in this community to ask if we should change rules, and got a pretty poor response. in the comments, people said political news can be uplifting, so we have not deleted political stuff. I can not single handedly change the rules
"Misery loves company." The most miserable among us tend to group together and complain together. You heard from the vocal minority that feeds on schadenfreude.
There is a valid point in these people deserving a community (I don't think it should be this one, but still).
I see now how I answered ambiguously, but we're in agreement. The miserable crowd that just wants less shitty news should have space of their own. This instance should be uplifting.
