Which was just ripping off The Twilight Zone

I see it more as a (shittier) fantasy version of The X Files

It was certainly a precursor, but shitty is far from a good descriptor.

Unless you're referring to Supernatural. Which is still not really that shitty.

Of course I'm referring to Supernatural

The X Files was amazing

I was just watching Pee-Wee's big adventure with my kids (mainly my daughter, son is 4 and a buffoon) and was thinking shit, I need to show her that twilight zone movie, with John Lithgow on the plane, the old man kicking the can, and then the kid holding his family hostage.

That's a great movie! I haven't really started showing my daughter (9) scary movies yet. I was terrified of spiders for like a decade after seeing Arachnophobia as a kid, and those Scary Stories books gave me nightmares for years, so I'm reluctant to expose her to media that might trigger something like that for her. Tough to know when it's the right time—or at least, that's been my experience.

I started watching horror movies when I was 12. I think that's a pretty good age. Look at me, I turned out mentally ill and ADHD!

That was William Shatner on the plane. He actually starred in a number of good episodes.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, I was referring specifically to the movie. The original was Shatner and a classic for sure.

Ah, I missed that you said "movie."

I do talk fast in real life, so maybe my comments read faster in people's minds.

The Twilight Zone episode was Shatner, the Twilight Zone movie was Lithgow. Both are great and worth a watch
