Yeah, he kept asking himself "why this face" like he was subconsciously trying to tell himself something. But then they just dropped the whole plot thread and didn't bring it up again.

The tough part with Billie Piper is that she would be the Doctor, but not Rose. She'd have to act like the Doctor, and that would be strange. Like the DoctorDonna, shit got confusing.

It did get an answer in the Ashildr episode (I loved that scene), and that started him on another cycle of saying screw the rules I'm above the law, which (clunkily) led to the hybrid prophecy resolution.
