not to be weird but that might make it super annoying to fire a long rifle at a sharp angle downwards in a surprise act of terrorism, you would probably have to break the glass to get an angle and that would give people life saving time and warning to react.
tho to be fair lets not make the mistake of assuming it isn't security architecture because it isn't rational lol
