Another day, another subreddit banned me.

I was reasonable, used facts and spoke the truth. ๐Ÿ˜ž My bad.

Some of the groups do go a bit overboard with banning people, and some seem to have quite biased moderators. I can understand some of the removal of posts and comments being a bit heavy handed at time, just because of the difficulty of moderating a large group and the impossibility of stepping on some toes, but going to banning people as a first step is not a good option. Especially if it is people that have contributed to the group in the past, not just a random coming in looking to cause trouble.

I guess it's the double edges sword of social media though, allowing everyone to contribute tends to lead to trolls and bad actors flooding the group and turning it into shit, but it's also very easy to destroy a group with excessive moderation destroying the ability to have a free discussion.
