it's about the quest. why didn't they just get the eagles to fly them there?
Sauron would've seen them coming and his wraiths + his army would've messed those eagles up. They only flew there after those were all taken care of. They needed to be sneaky burglers.
I enjoyed reading it and the silmarillion, the movies were good too but I agree with others. There's holes in the story and the two towers is kinda boring.
coulda cut 15 minutes off the battle scenes
I feel asleep in the battle of minas tirith at the movies.
