Yang claims to be progressive though. This was his statement:

I'm standing with the people of Israel who are coming under bombardment attacks, and condemn the Hamas terrorists. The people of NYC will always stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel who face down terrorism and persevere.

Yang has a large following and influence. He has sided with and apartheid state without even hinting at any of the atrocities. If this statement is meaningless then basically any statement is meaningless.

I admit there will be an element of realpolitik for AOC. If she directly crises the Biden admin then their fragile coalition could break.
