That sounds stressful. I imagine you learned a lot from that relationship. I don't enforce friendships with metas. "You don't have to be friends, just friendly"
I heard a friend refer to it as "Garden Party Poly" and I really liked that. Not as many requirements as Kitchen Table, but maybe a hug and share a drink at a backyard party.
