After finishing most of the larger parts of the card in double strand it became painfully apparent that the level of detail in this thing would require it to be done almost entirely with single strand or else it was just going to be a big confusing mess.
I also went back to working on this like I would a normal cross stitch doing one panel at a time instead of doing all the outlining and trying to go back and fill it in which was quickly getting too difficult to keep track of
I still have a long way to go but I'm really happy with the way the new one is going so far!

Sometimes it's better to just let go and start over. Definitely a good call! I love how it's going!
Do you plan on doing the whole tarot set or just this one?
I don't know about doing a whole set, but I am definitely going to make more of them! I picked patterns for Chaos, The Devil, and The Fool to work on next!
My immediate instinct is to start working on all of them at once, but I think it's better if I just finish this one first lol
