This is the hot button topic here that the news media is trying to desperately milk for headlines and clicks.

Stuff like this has been an issue elsewhere too. Sometimes it's pretty serious, but sometimes like this it's kind of not worth talking about. Give her a slap on the wrist and move on.

But in a sense this is good as it sets a precedent for other politicians trying to do the same thing.
