What's the logic with bonjella?
Remember Gentian Violet? We used to put that in our mouths then one day in the 90s it's ripped off the shelf because it's found to cause cancer. Oh great.
OMG that takes me back. It was my mum’s favourite remedy for everything. I was pretty much constantly covered in purple stripes as a kid, much to my embarrassment 😂
they probably get stolen
I remember ravers using it when they'd chewed out the inside of their cheeks while gurning on those strong late 90s pingas.
Because it's got a chemical in it that when it gets overused can cause hospitalisation. So they recategorised it now and it'll only be available at the chemist.
Maybe kids were eating it. I used to like the taste.
Haha. I'm quite partial to the tingly aniseedy taste myself.
Maybe the pharmacy guild has infiltrated the TGA and are trying to make up for the change in dispensation limits.
That's some tin foil hat thinking there but I wouldn't put it past them.
This is totally anecdotal from my own observations, but new generation of parents are very trigger happy with medication for infants. I’ve seen friends load up their kids with panadol, nurofen etc and repeat it all within hours. For the tiniest ailment. Perhaps there has been a rise in misuse due to no common sense.
