800 people clicked subscribe but noone talks. This is 99.99% of Lemmy communities. :)

People say this but every post I see has comments on it

Yeah if you sort by Top or Active, you see posts with activity and this is the default behavior for most clients.

I think that’s the case for active but isn’t top based on votes?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Ah maybe yes. I admit I haven't looked into it. :)

1 in 100 votes, of those 1 in 100 comments and of those 1 in 100 posts new stuff.

I never understood why people dont post comments. It's really no effort to say something.

Somtimes people dont have an option, dont think their opinion matter or just dont want to engage in conversation. Also consumation is much more easy then writing something, spellchecking it and sending it.

i don't know maybe reddit is still better in that department i use reddit way more than lemmy the ui is just better to me but maybe in the future lemmy will be even better :D

I just despise the owners. :)

Not specific to Lemmy. It's normal to have >99% consumers and <1% creators. You can do your part

Although I know what you mean, it is not fully true for this community. In some of the posts there has been quite some discussions with even some more nice ideas and webpages popping up ;).

Yeah it's OK the way things are now. Some nice discussions every day.
