I know there were several initiatives a few months ago hoping to develop a native linux client for Signal. Are we any closer?

Thanks for the two web links. They seem pretty related btw.

Change of plans: instead of starting a new application from scratch, we'll be helping Whisperfish implement a Kirigami GUI.
