Pretty much. CentOS went from a rock-solid server OS to a version of RHEL that's more bleeding edge and, more importantly, more unstable. You won't see any IT company recommend CentOS Stream for production use these days, that's for sure.

Probably because IBM wants people to use Redhat, which is paid.
