What is it about anonymity that makes people want to be jerks on the internet? Like, if a coworker, friend or hell a random you're chatting with asked an innocuous question like this, would your response really be to belittle the treats they asked about? Is it a repressed anger thing? Like, you want to be a jerk but in real life people might get annoyed? Or you don't really have that many folks in your life? Is it just "there's no consequences so I can finally unleash that inner asshole I'm always restraining?"
Maybe there's just always been this angry pathetic group and the internet just makes you more visible. Maybe somethings going terribly wrong in your life and this is your valve.
Regardless, if you're going to be a jerk, have you considered going back to reddit instead of making Lemmy less awesome?
