Seeing those glowing beacons off in the distance, like those radio towers. I used to live in a fairly quiet village like town in the middle of the woods and I'd go to the recreational area that is a small walk from my home, climb the hill, go to the softball park, sit on the stands and look off into the distance at the mountains to see one of them blink off and on.
I really can't explain what it is about this that really gets me, but it just does something for me.
This one is excellent. I had an incredibly profound experience in my teenage years while drunk, sitting on a couch with friends in a dark room. We were listening to Pink Floyd's Welcome to Machine while I was looking out of the living room window at a distant radio tower, steadily blinking red in the darkness over the silhouette of a forest.
