before you crucify me… I just wanna say, losing this week isn’t ALL that bad.

We need a semi rebuild. Yes we have key role players in Jacobs, Adams & Crosby but losing this week isn’t all that bad.

Every loss gives us a better draft position lessening the chances of us spending draft capital to move up to get guys of need.

As long as AP and the team seem to be in good spirits and headed in the right direction, I’m not overly upset at us losing atm.

We just need to show improvement and draft some more studs to fill the gaps.

Kind of a win win situation. If we win we win. Great. If we lose we get better draft positioning. Great. Moving on from McDaniels was already a W move by this team this season. There’s no expectations. This is the first time in a while we can all just be fans and enjoy the Raiders play.

It’s been a couple years since I could literally enjoy watching this team win or lose. Is this how other fans feel generally? I mean I want us to win. But the fact we are competitive regardless is a real breath of fresh air. And instead of sitting here cursing the coaching or the play calls or the refs I’m thinking “damn we didn’t fucking suck complete ass”

Edit: I still curse all those things, but it just feels different. Hopium is a helluva drug frens

I sometimes describe the Raiders season as:

  • Hope phase (often…preseason)
  • False hope phase (when it’s clear we’re not great but still hope it’ll get better)
  • Lost hope phase (“ehhhh next year”)

Rn I’m just still feeling joy that McDaniels is gone and wow we’re not terrible. Feels strange…

It's better to be on Hopium instead of Copium.
