This is according to Lukashenko via Rossiya 24 news channel reporting, and Prigozhin has been uploading to his own internet channels. So definitely not legit.
And yet BBC has picked it up. Either they know something we don't, or they just did a big bungle in effort to be the first breaking it. Either is possible.
We don't even have video of the guy saying it, just a recording resembling his voice on Telegram.
There's a Prigozhin audio on his telegram channel confirming the news.
Edit: Now I'm reading that there's a new message retracting the information of that audio, it's too soon to know the truth
Reminder that those can be faked now. I feel like someone would have called it out at this point if it was fake, but it could have been.
