Unfortunately much of Finnish mythology comes from a single source, the Kalevala by Elias Lönnrot, which was written long after christian missionaries polluted the folklore. It's an interesting mythology, and very distinct from the surrounding Germanic faiths.
The Canine Kalevela is a fun way to read it to kids. Really fun illustrations.
