Only fascists talk like that at their conferences. And then it doesn't sound much better in other languages.
There are a hell of a lot of good examples of how terrible our language is, but that's nonsense.
It's a tired joke missing any context or finesse but has some truth to it like most of these kind of stereotypes.
@oliver @janus2, German certainly, due to its massive use of compound words, is not the most melodious language, although it is not by far as exaggerated as in the video, but on the other hand, it is a language of enormous richness and vocabulary, precisely because of its modularity that allows you to create new words very easily, words that in other languages require a whole sentence in translation.
