The Toronto Raptors took a flier on a high-profile undrafted free agent early Friday morning, signing Kansas State guard Markquis Nowell to a two-way contract, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Nowell, 23, had a breakout performance in this last season’s NCAA tournament, leading Kansas State to the Elite 8 while averaging 23.5 points per game during his four tournament games.

I'm genuanly surprised he never got drafted. Dude had a record 19 assist game, 59 points in two nights with .50 shot. Dude may be our next VanVleet.
