It’s supposed to drive anti Israeli sentiments. People that justified the actions by saying it’s against their enemies don’t have a leg to stand on now that they’re attacking christians.

Moment word ‘Palestine’ is mentioned most assume all people who live there are muslims and they are the ones getting killed by IDF. So religion does matter here as it breaks that assumption.
