As soon as money gets involved so does greed. And greed can destroy anything very very quickly.

Any time the ability for any one person to have more than the rest exists greed becomes involved. It transcends money. Greed is involved at every level of goods or services exchange. We want to maximize how much we're going to get. It is what has driven us this far. We like to imagine our nomadic or cave dwelling ancestors rose above it or didn't have it, but no, they did. It is core to being human.

However, I don't believe we have to keep being greedy. We live in a time where no one needs to go hungry, unclothed, unsheltered, etc, etc, etc. We live in a time where greed is nothing but a dangerous nearly vestigal part of our need to survive.
