Dumb question: All my mates moisturize. I don't often cause.... I dunno Im an idiot. Noticed my forehead was a bit dry so I chucked some on and my skin immediately feels 100 times better. Does this mean I have really dry skin? Or does it just it do that to your skin regularly anyway?

In my experience, moisturizer helps straight away. My skin isn't generally dry, except in the winter months. I have skincare regimen (created for me by my daughter) that includes a serum and a cream. Massive improvement and way less flakiness in the cold months.

Just don't tell her that it's no substitute for good genetics :(

I wouldn't have the heart.

My son has perfectly clear skin (teenager) with like zero breakouts and does the bare minimum as far as skincare goes.

Daughter is the complete opposite.

it's good practice to not touch your face or hair because germs, hard to do tho , it's so reflexive to touch

Moisturiser is great for your skin. It doesn't mean you have really dry skin, it's probably just partly winter weather. In winter the air is colder and drier, and that does dry your skin out a bit more. Keep a bit of facial moisturiser around and put a little on after you've had a shower.
