If you're looking for primarily nonpolitical content Lemmy isn't the best place just out of the box... Also not to mention you're automatically put on the flagship instance Lemmy.ml which has mostly left-wing content. To help avoid being stuck in an echo chamber I joined Wolfballs which is a right-wing instance; and what I'm in the process of doing is blocking political sublemmys on Both instances. I want to be able to find good, new, origanal content without having a narrative or conspiracy theory clogging up my feed. (And I just don't care about the American left vs right stuff, If I cared I would use Twitter.) I think if you made a sublemmmy called "We love Adolf Hitler" you'd probably get banned, which at that point were you're making a sublemmy called that, you're just asking for it.
My comment might be a bit controversial, but I'm being honest, and stand by what I wrote.
I was asking would the software developer use relationship bullying to interfere any admins block certain instances or not. So you are not answering the question.
I saw it on Mastodon before: if you are not blocking Gab, I am going to block you... Such kind of stupid dramas.
Even if I am not going to join this instance by my political view, this will be effecting the software developing.
From the time I've been on Lemmy the Admins haven't been in any drama, and have said in comment threads that they don't get involved unless someone's breaking TOS. They did de-federate with Wolfballs but that had no drama as far as I'm aware. If you're gonna start your own instance, I'd like to join : )
Wise option.
So you can get stuck in an other echochamber... Very wise!
I can visit there and here in the same time, I am free.
Sure, whatever...
