Extracting solo (lemm.ee)

I would be interested in some useful tips to extract solo on higher difficulties.

So scenario; I was playing on Hard, all other players had left and despite this I felt like struggling past the main objectives on my lonesome. Quite difficult but I managed, however when it came time to extract I just couldn't manage it. Waves (bugs) just overwhelmed me and I couldn't even get back on the console.

Is there some trick to this?

It does that. However, it could be because I was out of range of the extract when I died. Either way, when I reinforced, the extract had been canceled.

Yeah it was probably already timing out when you died. The timeout is something like 20s so it should give you plenty of time to re-enter the extraction radius after reinforcing (pretty sure even the hellpod entering the radius counts)
