Why are you putting AI in quotes? Of course AI is an algorithm, what did you expect it to be lol.
Because there is no intelligence in it. The therm "Artificial Intelligence" ("AI") is just wrong its the same type of algorithm thats common since the early 2000s just with more data and CPU power.
Yeah, thanks for saying this. Current AI has literally 0 intelligence whatsoever. It’s basically just pattern matching. People are getting all hyped up about these chatbots, when they are literally just pattern matching, glorified autocompletes.

The most common misunderstanding is that people think gpt and such are intelligent. Wich is objectively complete BS. If you think otherwise (which it seems like) you should consider either shutting up or informing yourself correctly.

LLMs are objectively AI. They are by definition artificial intelligence. It is irrelevant whether or not you ascribe intelligence to them, they are artificial intelligence. If you have no idea that you're literally parroting, that's on you. No idea what china has to do with anything
