I have literally zero clue what I'm looking at. The photo gives no context other then what looks like a footrest with a rivet.

I agree with you, but from external context (other articles I've recently seen on lemmy), I'm pretty sure this is making fun of the Tesla Cybertruck issues which were caused by an unreliable accelerator pedal.
