I'm looking into building an off-grid house with solar. In order to produce enough electricity in Dec-Jan, I need to oversize the system to where I have an abundance the rest of the year.

What use can I get out of it? Is there anything useful I can do with it to help me get through Dec-Jan?

Depends on how much. Add more lights maybe or build a computer and run a folding@home project for 10 months of the year. Although that needs internet.

Build a solar greenhouse and put schluter ditra heat in the floor as a giant warming mat for your plants.

Build a tesla coil. They’re just cool as shit
