No just means voting and commenting is disabled. AFAIK, Reddit has no internal cache. Save everything of interest from there on a site like archive.org

Yeah, the Wayback Machine is very useful.

Apparently np means that the subr*ddit can use a custom CSS stylesheet, so I guess it might be changing the date...?

What does 'changing the date' mean? It's not archived or anything, no, it's live. Like AgreeableLandscape said, it "just means voting and commenting is disabled", and it was never updated from https://old.reddit.com/ format.

It means just that -- the np.reddit.com link shows "1 year ago", as opposed to reddit.com's "2 years ago". As you said, apparently this is because it's based on old.reddit.com.

Yep, my guess is it's rounding up to a year differently on the two front-ends. As you can see, their front-pages you posted are identical posts.
